Meet Bill and Sue Dunigan, your new innkeepers at The Sterling Inn. After 19 years serving with the Salvation Army, including 15 years managing the historic Jubilee House in Boston, they've brought their passion for hospitality to Maine's Upper Kennebec Valley.
Bill is an Appalachian Trail thru-hiker who understands exactly what trail travelers need after a long day on the trail. Sue brings decades of experience creating welcoming spaces where guests become family. Together, they're carrying forward the 200+ year tradition of hospitality that began when this building first opened as a stagecoach stop in 1816.
Whether you're hiking the AT, exploring Maine's wilderness, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Bill and Sue are here to ensure your stay is comfortable, authentic, and memorable.
